Meet Church

Sophisticated, delicate, graceful, and full of class. In fact, so classy, she's always in a tuxedo.

I did say graceful, right?

Church arrived outside my house one day, right before I was about to move from Hendersonville, NC to Cincinnati, OH for college. A rucous outside which I assumed was a raccoon ended up to be a tiny little kitten who was super skinny.

I brought her in, she was toothpick skinny, feed her some food (she literally bloated her tummy into a tiny baseball) and then cried when she didn't poop for a day.

I decided she needed to be my companion to school in Cincinnati. (Yes, she did eventually poop, and still poops to this day!)

Her name comes from the Stephen King book Pet Semetery, which had been my favorite book since middle school and I had always wanted to name a kitty Church. She was the lucky girl.

Her nicknames include meat pie, Princess, baby princess, baby princess butt and spear tooth.

Church is an extremely lovable girl, whom I could not live without. She walks on a leash like a good girl, and occasional enjoys walks in the parks.

Though her birthday is unknown, I celebrate her birthday privately whenever I remember "it feels like it's been a year since last time I celebrated." Though these celebrations can happen multiple times a year, I do know that she appeared in my life 8 years ago, and was only a couple weeks old at the time.

This girl has changed my life, and still does. She brings a smile to my face and a good cuddle daily. I love her soooo much.
